How to set a viewing period for a course?
Reminder: Only "Paid courses" can set a course viewing period!
- Go to the Teachify dashboard and select the course you want to "set a deadline" for.
- Click on the course and enter the course backend, then click on the
Pricing Plan
under sales section on the left.
- Inside, you should see a default "One Time Purchase." This plan is automatically established by the system when you create a new course, and it has no viewing period.
If you want the course to have a viewing period, you need to addNew Pricing Plan
. Please click onNew Pricing Plan
in the upper right corner.
- Select
Specific Length
on the right side.
- Fixed Date: If you want the course to only be visible up to a certain date and time, such as 23:00 on December 31, 2024.
- Specific Length: If you want the course to only be visible for a fixed period starting from the date of purchase, such as 365 days.
- After entering the desired course price, create a new plan.
At this point, there will be two plans in your backend:
- One is the original "without a viewing period" plan (Plan Type: One Time Purchase)
- The other is the latest plan "fixed viewing period" plan (Plan Type: Fixed Date)
The frontend will look like this ▼
Click on the plan name to enter the plan editing page (if the plan name has not been changed, it should be "Unnamed").
After editing the plan name, the backend will look like this ▼

Back to the specific course backend and click on "Edit Plan" in the upper right corner.
Change "Active" from "Yes" to "No," and update the plan.
The frontend will only display plans with set viewing periods.
