Creating a subdomain is also very simple. After purchasing a domain, you can usually set it up on the website where you bought it.

Therefore, the most common configurations after purchasing a domain (using the Teachify domain name as an example) are as follows:

teachify.tw as the main official website
blog.teachify.tw as the official blog
www.teachify.tw is a type of domain name commonly used for official websites that starts with www, but because it has www in front, it is also considered a subdomain setting.

In this example, teachify.tw is the primary domain, and blog and www are subdomains.

Subdomains can be any English word, with the most common ones being school, course, and academy. We have also seen more creative subdomains, such as vip, learn, and content.

Before connecting PayPal for payments, you need to create an integrated app through the PayPal Developer website.
Please log in to the PayPal Developer website.

Step 1: Get API Credentials

Once you login, switch to “Live” mode. If you see the below picture, please upgrade your account.

Step 3: Create App

You will see the following screen if you successfully login to PayPal with a business account. Click "Create App".

Step 4: Get “Client ID” and “ Secret”

Then you will obtain “Client ID” and “Secret” which allow you to proceed with the payment setup in the Teachify dashboard.

Can Teachify embed Vimeo videos?

Teachify allows users to upload videos directly to the backend, and it's also possible to embed Vimeo videos.

To upload a video, go to the course backend → Chapter - Section Upload File→ Embed Video URL.

When embedding Vimeo videos, please note that you need to go to the Vimeo backend and change the "where can this be embedded?" setting in Privacy to "Specific domains" and enter your Teachify academy domain in the specific URL field. This way, the video will not be publicly shared and can only be viewed in your academy.

Using Teachify's demo website as an example, the field to enter the specific URL would be demo.useteachify.com.

You can organize free or paid live events through Teachify. This article will show you how to set up a live event in the Teachify backend.

How to set up a live event in the Teachify backend?

First, go to the Events section in the Teachify backend and click on New Event.

In the Events backend, fill in the following fields:

The event name is required.
The URL is required: The event comes with a default random URL, but you can change it to your preferred URL.
Event start time and end time are required.
Lecturer: You can have multiple speakers, whom you can select from the list of lecturers in your academy or add directly.
Hosting type: You can choose between using Teachify's default live streaming software or integrating Zoom to open a Zoom live conference room.

Choose "Yes" or "No" to publish the event (if you select "No," the event will not be visible on your website).
You can customize the ticket name, price, and quantity (if you don't set it, it will display "Tickets not yet available" on your webstie).

Where can I edit the Hero Section (Homepage Cover Image/Main Visual Image) of my Teachify School?

The Teachify Standard version homepage displays a main visual image at the top (as shown in the image below), with file formats limited to .JPG or .PNG. The recommended size is 1440 x 500, but the image size is not strictly limited, so creators can design images according to their preferences.

How to change homepage image:

Go to Teachify dashboard and click on General Settings under "Settings" section at the left side. Then, you will find Appearance at the right side.

Click Go to editor at the top right side.

You can click cover image and the "Edit Component" box will pop-up at right side where you can click Background Image and Upload Image.

Once the image has been updated in the backend, the front-end will immediately synchronize and replace the previous image.
